Ethics Round Table for Healing Arts Professionals - August 1st

Let's tell some stories! We can learn from each other. This is a group get-together for CE credits where we will simply discuss difficult topics in a safe and supportive environment.

Discussion Times: Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
CE Hours: 2 (counts toward OBMT "live" Ethics requirements)

Instructor: Ellyn Vandenberg is a Certified Rolfer™, Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Functional Strength Coach with a B.A. in Psychology who has been doing bodywork since 1994. She has experience as a Medical Assistant in both Naturopathic Medicine and Non-Surgical Orthopedics. She was a faculty instructor of Pathology, Myofascia and Ethics at Sage School of Massage in Bend, OR for 9 years and taught at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, OR for 2 years. She teaches CE classes in Myofascial Techniques and Ethics. Experienced in running, cycling, swimming, yoga, rock climbing and dance, she has been bringing humor into her classrooms since 1998.

In this class we'll take time to look and assess posture, structure and function. 

We'll also talk about how to formulate sessions based on what you see.

What to bring: Please be prepared with boxers, cycling shorts, or some type of shorts and a lightweight bra or thin-strapped tank top (avoid racer-back sports bras) that allow easy access to observing and working on the body. Please bring a set of sheets, a face cradle cover, blanket and a pillow.

We will explore the subtleties of how to effectively work with fascia through visual and palpation assessments and specific fascial techniques for common conditions of the Neck, Head & Jaw.
