Ethics Round Table for Healing Arts Professionals - May 8, 2019

Let's tell some stories! We can learn from each other. This is a group get-together for continuing education (CE) hours where we will simply hang out and discuss difficult topics.  Come to two workshops and get our Oregon Board of Massage ethics "live" requirements fulfilled!

Instructor: Ellyn Vandenberg is a Certified Rolfer™, Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Functional Strength Coach with a B.A. in Psychology who has been doing bodywork since 1994. She has experience as a Medical Assistant in both Naturopathic Medicine and Non-Surgical Orthopedics. She was a faculty instructor of Pathology, Myofascia and Ethics at Sage School of Massage in Bend, OR for 9 years and taught at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, OR for 2 years. She teaches CE classes in Myofascial Techniques and Ethics. Experienced in running, cycling, swimming, yoga, rock climbing and dance, she has been bringing humor into her classrooms since 1998.

SPECIAL 3 DAY CLASS with Ellyn Vandenberg, CR™, LMT & Wes Rau, PT, MTC

Please Note:  Location of Workshop To Be Arranged
This class will be packed full of great information! Wes Rau will be discussing the function and movement of the joints while showing gentle joint mobilization techniques as well as demonstrating cranial and intra-oral techniques. We will discuss the latest research on fascia and explore the subtleties of how to effectively work with fascia through visual and palpation assessments, and specific techniques for common conditions of the Head, Neck & Jaw such as:

  • TMJ Dysfunction
  • Headaches
  • Whiplash
  • Arthritis
  • Tinnitus
  • Disc Herniation’s and more!

 INCLUDES INTRA-ORAL & CRANIAL WORK!

Class Times:  Friday & Saturday from 9:00AM-5:00PM and Sunday from 9:00AM-4:00PM

Wes Rau, PT, MTC has been a practicing Physical Therapist for over 40 years and has been in Central Oregon for 27 of those years. He is an incredibly skilled manual therapist with a tremendous amount of knowledge and is excited to share that with you! Wes has worked extensively with dogs and horses as well as humans. He has taken so much in the way of continuing education that it is too much to list. He has a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy and certification in manual therapy from the Institute of Graduate Health Sciences. Wes works specializes in neurological, orthopedic and pediatric work but is a jack of all trades and a master of all those trades as well. He is a fun, energetic and no-nonsense guy who loves to share his knowledge in a humorous, yet very practical way.
